News from the lake
It's been a hot summer and whilst that might be good for the solar panels and battery storage of electricity, it's sure not so good for the vegetation, wildlife, and lake levels.
The grass is like scorched earth. The weed level is high in the lake and the water level is 30 cm down from the normal winter levels. This is not unusual for this time of year. Maybe a little bit more than normal.
Fabulous to see a barn owl around the southern part of the lake often during the day and the otter and its young keep popping up from time to time in various places.
